The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says 1,906,390 permanent voter cards (PVCs) have been collected ahead of the August 15 governorship election in Osun state. In a statement on Friday, Mohammed Haruna, INEC’s information and voter education committee chairman, said the figure represents 81.50 percent of the 2,339,233 registered voters in the state. Haruna also relayed that 432,843 uncollected PVCs, representing 18.50 percent of registered voters, have been deposited with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
