Ibadan was agog as Afolarin Odunlami, the Afrobeats artiste popularly known as Fola, held his homecoming concert.
The event, which was held at Agodi Gardens on October 3, featured an electrifying lineup of performances from several Nigerian artistes.
Dressed in a green-and-white agbada paired with a matching “abetiaja” cap, accessorised with black traditional beads, Fola opened the concert with what seemed like an unreleased song.
Throughout the night, the singer thrilled the crowd with a mix of hits and collaborative songs, including ‘B4 B4’, ‘Very Soon’ and ‘You’.
Joining Fola on stage were several artistes, including Ayo Maff, TML Vibez, T.I Blaze, Bella Shmurda, Kidd Carder and Magixx, who entertained concertgoers with their hit songs.
Several celebrities and socialites also joined the singer, including Yhemo Lee and Kamo State.
A memorable moment came when Fola brought a fan who tattooed his face on his arm on stage and promised to give him N500,000.
Fola rose to greater prominence after signing with Dangbani Republik, Bella Shmurda’s record label, in October 2024.
He has steadily gained traction in the Nigerian music industry, earning 10 nominations in the upcoming edition of the Headies Awards, including a nomination for the Next Rated category.
