A socio political group, “Ona-Ara Lokan” agitating for quality representation and equity in Egbeda/Ona-Ara federal Constituency has released a communique urging citizen, residents, political parties and concern authorities to look in to the imbalance and marginalization in the federal Constituency.
The statement signed by the group convener, Comrd Hammed Kunle Alao and made available to the press state as follows:

ON THE NEED FOR REPRESENTATIONAL BALANCE IN EGBEDA/ONA-ARA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY
Fellow citizens/residents of Egbeda and Ona-Ara,
“As we approach the 2027 general elections, it has become imperative to address the long-standing issue of representational imbalance in our federal constituency. For 20 years, one local government has dominated the representative position, while the other has been marginalized.
“This glaring injustice has deprived the people of Ona-Ara of effective representation and hindered the overall development of our constituency. It is our firm conviction that every community deserves equal opportunities and representation.
“Therefore, we call on all political parties, particularly the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) to present candidates from Ona-Ara for the federal representative position in the forthcoming elections.
“We urge all sons and daughters of Ona-Ara, regardless of party affiliation, to unite in this quest for fairness and equity. Together, we can make history right and ensure that our constituency is represented by a leader who truly understands our needs.
“Let us rise above partisan interests and demand a better future for ourselves and generations to come.
