The Lagelu Local Government Ward 1 Councilor, Hon. Bello Afeez Olanrewaju, has extended warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to the people of Ward 1, residents of Lagelu Local Government and Nigerians across the country as Nigeria commemorates its 66th Independence Anniversary.
Hon. Bello described the anniversary as a significant moment to reflect on Nigeria’s journey since independence, celebrate the strength of its people and renew collective commitment to building a peaceful, prosperous and united nation.
While acknowledging the economic difficulties currently confronting many Nigerian families, the councilor said the prevailing hardship should not extinguish the hope and determination of the people.
According to him, Nigerians have consistently demonstrated remarkable courage and resilience in the face of difficult circumstances, stressing that the same spirit remains necessary as the country navigates its present economic realities.
He particularly appealed to the people of Lagelu to remain patient, supportive of one another and hopeful for better days, noting that difficult moments are part of a nation’s journey and should be confronted with courage, unity and collective responsibility.
Hon. Bello further emphasized the importance of grassroots development, saying that government at all levels must continue to prioritize the welfare of ordinary citizens and create an environment where families can live with dignity and young people can look forward to a brighter future.
The Ward 1 Councilor reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare and development of his constituents, assuring the people that he would continue to contribute his quota towards initiatives that positively impact lives within the ward.
He also called on Nigerians to continue to promote peace, tolerance and unity irrespective of political, ethnic or religious differences, noting that the progress of Nigeria requires the collective efforts of its citizens.
“As Nigeria celebrates 66 years of independence, let us not allow the difficulties of today to make us lose sight of the possibilities of tomorrow. We must remain resilient, hopeful and united. Better days are possible when we continue to work together and believe in our country,” Hon. Bello said.
He prayed for peace, prosperity and economic stability across the country, while wishing the people of Lagelu Local Government and all Nigerians a Happy 66th Independence Anniversary.
“May Nigeria continue to grow stronger, and may the hope of a better tomorrow remain alive in every Nigerian heart.”
