The Allied People’s Movement (APM) House of Representatives candidate for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, Engr Toheeb Adegoke ADLAT, has felicitated a former commissioner and respected APM chieftain in Lagelu Local Government Area, Alhaji Oribayo Okeyode, on the occasion of his birthday.
In a goodwill message, Toheeb described Alhaji Okeyode as an elder statesman, political leader and a man whose years of service to the people have earned him enduring respect across Lagelu and beyond.
He said celebrating Alhaji Okeyode was not merely about marking another year in his life, but an opportunity to honour a distinguished public servant whose contributions to governance, community development and the growth of the APM family remain worthy of recognition.
According to Toheeb, Alhaji Okeyode represents the kind of leadership that places service above personal interest and values experience, humility and commitment to the people.
“Today, I celebrate not only your birthday, but the remarkable journey of a respected leader, an elder and a man who has dedicated a significant part of his life to serving the people.
“Your years of public service and your continued commitment to the political development of our people are a testament to the depth of your character and your love for humanity,” he said.
The APM candidate particularly commended Alhaji Okeyode for his steadfastness and contributions to the party, describing his experience and wisdom as valuable assets to the political family in Lagelu and Oyo State.
Toheeb said political leadership requires patience, sacrifice and the ability to remain committed to one’s people even when circumstances are challenging, adding that Alhaji Okeyode had continued to demonstrate these qualities.
He also acknowledged the respect the former commissioner commands among political associates, community members and younger leaders, noting that his experience provides an important source of guidance for the next generation.
“Sir, your presence in our political family is a blessing. Your counsel, experience and understanding of our people continue to inspire those of us who are privileged to learn from you.
“We are grateful for your sacrifices, your service and your unwavering commitment to the progress of our people,” Toheeb added.
While wishing the former commissioner many more years, the APM candidate prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to grant him sound health, wisdom, peace and fulfilment.
He further prayed that Allah would preserve his life, strengthen him and grant him the opportunity to witness many more years of meaningful service to humanity.
“On this special day, I pray that Almighty Allah continues to preserve you in good health and sound mind, bless you with peace and happiness, and grant you many more fruitful years.
“May the years ahead bring you greater honour, fulfilment and abundant blessings. May Allah continue to guide you, strengthen you and reward you for your service to humanity.
“Happy birthday, our distinguished leader. May you continue to age gracefully and remain a source of wisdom, strength and inspiration to generations,” Toheeb said.
