The Supervisory Councillor for Works in Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Femi Fabunmi (Femi Kenfab), has expressed profound appreciation to political leaders, family members, friends, associates and well-wishers who stood by his family before, during and after the final burial ceremony of his beloved mother, Deaconess Rachael Aderonke Fabunmi, wife of respected Lagelu Local Government APM chieftain, Elder Kehinde Fabunmi.
The well-attended burial ceremony, held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at T.L. Oyeshina High School, Alabebe, attracted eminent political leaders, government officials, community stakeholders and sympathisers from within and outside Lagelu Local Government.
Hon. Femi Fabunmi specially appreciated the presence and support of the Member representing Lagelu State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olajide Akintunde (AKT); the Member representing Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, Hon. Wasiu Olafisoye (LAFI); the Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen; the APM House of Representatives Candidate for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, Hon. Adegoke Toheeb (ADLAT); the Chairman of OYCSDA, Alhaji Adeaga; Engr. Festus Alade (Macadof); Hon. Jide Olatoye; Alhaji Wulemot Ibitoye; the USA GSMist Coordinator, Hon. Segun Folorunso; Vice chairman and Ajorosun LCDA political head, Hon. Oladebo Simple, as well as all leaders of the PDP/APM Alliance in Lagelu Local Government.
He also extended heartfelt gratitude to the Women’s Leaders, Youth Leaders, Ward Chairmen, Supervisory Councillors, Councillors, members of the Bishop Phillips Academy Old Students Association, Gbena childhood friends and associates, relatives, neighbours, religious leaders and every individual who contributed financially, morally, spiritually and through their physical presence to ensure the burial ceremony was successful.
Hon. Femi Kenfab reserved special appreciation for the Burial Planning Committee, ably led by Hon. Double 6 and Mrs. Bukky Olayiwola, commending their exceptional commitment, coordination and selfless service throughout the planning and execution of the funeral activities.
According to him, the outpouring of love, generosity, prayers and encouragement received from people across political, religious and social divides has brought comfort and strength to the Fabunmi family during this difficult period.
He prayed that God Almighty would richly reward everyone who stood with the family, replenish every resource spent, grant all supporters long life, good health, abundant blessings and continually keep them and their families under His divine protection.
Hon. Femi Fabunmi noted that the overwhelming support and goodwill shown to the family will forever remain a cherished memory, assuring everyone that the Fabunmi family remains deeply grateful for every act of kindness shown in honour of the late Deaconess Rachael Aderonke Fabunmi.
