The USA GSMist Coordinator, Hon. Olusegun Folorusho SHIGO, has extended his warmest congratulations to the good people of Lagelu Local Government, Oyo State, and Nigerians across the country on the occasion of Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
In a goodwill message marking the historic celebration, Hon. SHIGO described Independence Day as a significant moment for Nigerians to reflect on the nation’s journey, appreciate the sacrifices of past generations and renew their commitment to the unity, peace and development of the country.
He acknowledged the economic difficulties being experienced by many families and individuals across the country, noting that the present challenges should not extinguish the spirit of hope, perseverance and patriotism among Nigerians.
According to him, Nigeria has enormous human and natural resources capable of driving sustainable development, stressing that with collective determination, responsible leadership, unity and support for one another, the country can overcome its present difficulties and move towards a more prosperous future.
Hon. SHIGO particularly urged residents of Lagelu Local Government to remain peaceful, united and supportive of one another, emphasizing that the strength of any community lies in the ability of its people to stand together during difficult times.
He also called on Nigerians, especially the younger generation, to continue believing in the Nigerian project and contribute positively to their communities through hard work, integrity, innovation and responsible citizenship.

He wished all residents of Lagelu Local Government, the people of Oyo State and Nigerians at home and in the diaspora a peaceful, memorable and prosperous 66th Independence Anniversary.
