The Supervisory Councillor for Revenue and Investment in Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Olaniyan Hammed, has once again demonstrated his commitment to grassroots development and people-oriented leadership by extending cash empowerment to 150 constituents in Ward 1.
The empowerment exercise, which took place during the Ward 1 meeting, attracted 169 participants, reflecting the strong level of engagement and participation within the ward. In line with his established culture of supporting his constituents, Hon. Olaniyan Hammed provided cash assistance to 150 beneficiaries while ensuring that the remaining 19 participants were also catered for.
The gesture further reinforces the fact that the empowerment programme is part of a sustained commitment to the welfare of his people and not a one-off intervention. Over time, Hon. Olaniyan Hammed has consistently supported members of his ward through various empowerment initiatives, making people-centred service a defining feature of his grassroots leadership.
The Ward 1 meeting also brought together party and community stakeholders, including the Ward Chairman, Hon. Temitope; the Councilorship Candidate, Hon. Olasupo Olaiya; and members of the Ward 1 executive.
Hon. Olaniyan Hammed was accompanied to the gathering by Hon. Gbadamosi Rasheed, a Supervisory Councillor in Ibadan South East Local Government, whose presence added further significance to the event.
