The Member representing Lagelu State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olajide Akintunde, popularly known as AKT, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in Lagelu, Oyo State and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-ul-Mawlid.
Hon. Akintunde described the celebration as an important moment for Muslims to reflect on the exemplary life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, particularly his virtues of compassion, patience, justice, humility, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
According to him, the values demonstrated by the Prophet remain essential to building a united, peaceful and progressive society, urging residents of Lagelu to continue to promote mutual respect and understanding irrespective of religious or ethnic differences.
The lawmaker called on Muslim faithful to use the occasion not only for celebration, but also as an opportunity to strengthen bonds of brotherhood, extend kindness to the less privileged and contribute positively to the development of their communities.
He further urged residents to embrace peace and unity, noting that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere where people live together in harmony and support one another.
Hon. Akintunde prayed for peace, prosperity and continued blessings for Muslim faithful, Lagelu State Constituency, Oyo State and Nigeria, while wishing all Muslims a peaceful and memorable Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration.
