The Member representing Lagelu State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olajide Akintunde (AKT), has warmly commended the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his unwavering commitment, resilience and determination, which culminated in the safe return of the 42 abducted students and their teachers of Oriire School, Ogbomosho, from the kidnappers’ captivity.
Hon. AKT described the successful rescue as a huge relief to the affected families, the people of Oyo State and all well-meaning Nigerians who had remained hopeful and prayerful throughout the unfortunate incident.
He praised Governor Makinde for demonstrating exemplary leadership by refusing to relent in the face of security challenges, noting that the Governor’s steadfast support for security agencies and his unwavering resolve against criminality continue to strengthen public confidence in the safety of lives and property across the state.
According to AKT, the safe return of the victims reflects the Governor’s enduring commitment to protecting the people and ensuring that Oyo State remains hostile to bandits, kidnappers and other criminal elements.
He also appreciated the gallant efforts of the security agencies, local intelligence operatives and all stakeholders whose professionalism, collaboration and sacrifices contributed to the successful rescue operation.
Hon. AKT prayed that such incidents would become a thing of the past and urged residents to remain vigilant by supporting security agencies with timely and credible information that would help prevent criminal activities.
The lawmaker reaffirmed his continued support for every policy and initiative of the Makinde-led administration aimed at strengthening security, promoting peace and guaranteeing a safer environment for all residents of Oyo State.
