The Chairman of the Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency (OYSCDA), Hon. Adetokunbo Abideen Adeaga, has joined family members, friends, political associates, and well-wishers in celebrating the posthumous birthday of the late Mrs. Oluyemisi Stella Alake Olajide, fondly known as “Yemak,” the beloved mother of the Member representing Lagelu State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olajide Akintunde (AKT).

In an emotional tribute released on the occasion of her birthday anniversary, Hon. Adeaga described the late Yemak as a rare gem, an exemplary mother, and a woman whose life was a testament to love, sacrifice, discipline, and unwavering devotion to family and humanity.
According to him, while death may have separated her physically from her loved ones, her memories remain alive in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her, especially through the noble character and outstanding leadership qualities she instilled in her son, Hon. Olajide Akintunde.

“Today is one of those days that remind us of the painful reality of losing a loved one whose presence brought warmth, comfort, and inspiration. Mama Yemak was not just a mother to Hon. AKT; she was a pillar of strength, a source of wisdom, and a shining example of selfless motherhood.”
“Though she is no longer with us, her footprints remain visible in the lives she nurtured, the values she upheld, and the positive impact she made on everyone around her. Her legacy continues to live through her children and all those fortunate enough to have encountered her kindness and motherly affection,” Adeaga stated.

The OYSCDA Chairman noted that the late matriarch’s memory continues to inspire many, particularly her son, Hon. AKT, whose commitment to public service, compassion for the people, and dedication to community development reflect the virtues she imparted during her lifetime.
He further expressed sympathy with the Olajide family, acknowledging that birthdays of departed loved ones often reopen deep emotional wounds while simultaneously offering an opportunity to celebrate a life well lived.

“There are mothers whose departure leaves a void that can never truly be filled. Mama Yemak was one of such exceptional women. Even in death, she remains unforgettable. The tears may have dried, but the memories remain fresh. The pain of her absence may linger, but so does the beauty of her legacy.”
“As we remember her today, we do not merely mourn her absence; we celebrate her life, her sacrifices, her love, and the remarkable family she raised. May her gentle soul continue to rest peacefully in the bosom of the Almighty.”

Hon. Adeaga prayed for the continued repose of her soul and for divine comfort upon Hon. Olajide Akintunde, his siblings, and the entire Olajide family.
The tribute concluded with a poignant reminder that while years may pass and seasons may change, the love of a mother never dies, and the memory of Mrs. Oluyemisi Stella Alake Olajide “Yemak” will forever remain a cherished treasure in the hearts of those she left behind.
