The Leader of the Legislative House in Lagelu Local Government and Councillor representing Ward 5, Hon. Idogbe Aduragbemi, has extended warm felicitations to residents of Ward 5 and workers across Lagelu Local Government on the occasion of the 2026 Workers’ Day celebration and the commencement of a new month.

In a goodwill message made available to newsmen on Friday, Hon. Aduragbemi praised the resilience, dedication, and contributions of workers towards the growth and development of Lagelu Local Government and Oyo State at large.
He described workers as the backbone of society, noting that their sacrifices, commitment, and hard work remain vital to sustaining progress and good governance at the grassroots level.

The legislative leader particularly commended civil servants, artisans, traders, transport workers, healthcare personnel, teachers, security operatives, and other professionals within Ward 5 and the entire local government for their unwavering service to humanity and community development.

Hon. Aduragbemi also used the opportunity to welcome residents into the new month of May, praying for peace, prosperity, divine favour, and greater accomplishments for every household.
According to him, “Workers’ Day is a moment to appreciate the invaluable contributions of our hardworking men and women who continue to keep our society moving despite prevailing challenges. I celebrate all workers in Ward 5 and across Lagelu Local Government for their dedication and patriotism.”

He further urged residents to remain united, peaceful, and supportive of ongoing developmental efforts aimed at improving the welfare of the people at the grassroots.
The councillor reaffirmed his commitment to quality representation, people-oriented leadership, and continuous engagement with constituents to ensure the progress of Ward 5 and Lagelu Local Government as a whole.
