Hon. Olajide Akintunde, popularly known as AKT, the lawmaker representing Lagelu State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, has extended warm congratulations to Mogaji Olatoye Olajide, fondly called Big Daddy Sugar, and Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo (RAD) on their conferment with the prestigious Icon of Ibadan Heritage Award.
The honour was bestowed on the distinguished personalities by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) during a grand event held at the Ibadan Civic Centre on Sunday, April 12.
In his congratulatory message, Hon. AKT described the recognition as a well-deserved honour, noting that the award reflects their unwavering commitment, outstanding service, and remarkable contributions to the growth, unity, and cultural preservation of Ibadanland.
According to him, the conferment by CCII, the apex socio-cultural body of Ibadan indigenes, is a testament to the immense impact both awardees have made in advancing the heritage and progress of the ancient city.
He praised Mogaji Olatoye Olajide, “Big Daddy Sugar,” for his consistent support for community development and his role in promoting the values and traditions of Ibadan, while also commending Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo for her exemplary leadership and dedication to public service.
Hon. AKT further stated that the recognition would serve as an inspiration to others to continue contributing meaningfully to the development and preservation of Ibadan’s rich cultural heritage.
He prayed for greater accomplishments for the award recipients and wished them continued success in all their endeavours.
