The lawmaker representing Lagelu State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olajide Akintunde (AKT), has expressed profound appreciation to the leaders, stakeholders, executives, and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagelu Local Government for their unwavering support and confidence in his leadership following his emergence as the party’s consensus candidate for a third term.
In a statement issued after the recently concluded consensus primary, Hon. Akintunde described his selection as a reflection of the unity, maturity, and collective commitment of the party leadership and members toward sustaining quality representation and progressive governance in Lagelu.
He specially appreciated the leaders of the party, ably led by former Commissioner Oribayo Okeyode, for their steadfast guidance and support throughout the process.
The lawmaker also extended his heartfelt gratitude to other prominent party leaders and elders, including Chief Babatunde Tijani (Double T), Elder Kehinde Fabunmi, Evangelist Ayobami Gold, Baba Iwinkunle, Alhaja Wulemotu Ibitoye, Iya Aduke Okewusi, Hon. Jide Adeniran, Baba Adegoke, Hon. Soji Success, Elder Niyi as well as the PDP Local Government Chairman, Chief Femi Falowo, the local executives, and all ward executives across Lagelu Local Government.
Hon. Akintunde further acknowledged the immense support of party stakeholders, among whom are Hon. Adetokunbo Abideen Adeaga, Agbaakin Benedict Akika, Hon. Gbadamosi Kazeem, Chief Festus Alade Macadoff, Hon. Latinwo Lanbash and the Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. According to him, the consensus outcome underscores the confidence reposed in his legislative performance and his continued commitment to delivering impactful representation for the people of Lagelu State Constituency.
AKT also commended the spirit of statesmanship and sportsmanship displayed by other aspirants who participated in the contest, describing their conduct as a demonstration of political maturity and dedication to the progress of the party.
He specifically praised Mogaji Olatoye Olajide, Alhaja Fatimoh Oyegbori, Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo (RAD) and Hon. Oladayo Busari for the spirit of sportsmanship displayed and further outlined his readiness in working together for the better and greater Lagelu local government.
The lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to justify the confidence reposed in him by the party and the people, promising to continue championing policies and projects that will bring greater development to the Constituency.
