Former Supervisory Councillor for Special Duties in Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Abidemi A. Alabi (popularly known as Enimakure), has congratulated Hon. Olajide Akintunde (AKT), the lawmaker representing Lagelu State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, on his emergence as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate following the recently concluded consensus exercise.
In a congratulatory statement made available to newsmen, Hon. Enimakure described Hon. AKT’s emergence as a well-deserved victory, noting that it is a reflection of his outstanding representation, quality leadership, and unwavering commitment to the people of Lagelu Local Government.
He further lauded the resilience, unity, and steadfast commitment demonstrated by the leaders, elders, and stakeholders of the party whose tireless efforts, wisdom, and sacrifices made the journey a victorious one.
According to him, the successful consensus process was made possible through the dedication and political maturity of respected party leaders and stakeholders including Elder Oribayo Okeyode, Baba Kehinde Fabunmi, Baba ’Leke Winkunle, Baba Ayobami Goldsmith, Baba Babatunde Tijani, Iya Wulemot Ibitoye, Hon. Jide Adeniran, Egbon Festus Alade, and Hon. Babalola, among several others who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.
Hon. Enimakure appreciated their resilience and commitment to sustaining the unity and progress of the PDP in Lagelu, adding that their collective efforts have once again positioned the party for greater success ahead of the 2027 general election.
He expressed confidence that Hon. AKT would continue to deliver quality representation and more developmental achievements for the people of the constituency.
“Your emergence as the party’s candidate through consensus is a testimony to your performance, acceptability, and the confidence reposed in you by the leaders and stakeholders of our great party. I also sincerely appreciate our elders and leaders for their steadfastness and relentless commitment in making this victory possible,” the statement read.
Hon. Enimakure prayed for continued strength, wisdom, and unity among party leaders as the PDP prepares for future electoral victories in Lagelu and Oyo State at large.
