The Supervisory Councillors and Special Assistant of Lagelu Local Government have paid a congratulatory visit to the lawmaker representing Lagelu State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olajide Akintunde, popularly known as AKT, following his unanimous emergence as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearer for the 2027 general election.
The visit came in the wake of the just concluded consensus arrangement by party leaders and stakeholders across Lagelu Local Government, which saw Hon. AKT unanimously endorsed as the party’s candidate for another term in the State Assembly.
Speaking during the visit, the council officials described Hon. AKT’s emergence as a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding leadership, grassroots connection, and remarkable contributions to the growth and development of Lagelu State Constituency.
They commended the party leaders and stakeholders for their wisdom and unity in reaching a consensus, noting that the decision reflects the confidence reposed in Hon. AKT’s capacity to continue delivering quality representation to the people.
The delegation also praised the lawmaker for his dedication to public service, accessibility to the people, and his consistent support for local government administration and staff welfare.

He reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining effective representation, championing people-oriented policies, and attracting more developmental projects to Lagelu State Constituency.
Hon. AKT further assured the people of the constituency that his renewed mandate would be used to deepen democratic dividends and strengthen the bond between the government and the grassroots.
The visit ended with prayers and renewed assurances of total support for the PDP flag bearer ahead of the 2027 general election.
