Hon. Olajide Akintunde, popularly known as AKT and representing Lagelu State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, has extended warm felicitations to former Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly and former Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Monsurat Sunmonu, on the occasion of her 67th birthday.
In a congratulatory statement released on Thursday, Hon. AKT described Senator Sunmonu as a distinguished leader, trailblazer, and an exemplary stateswoman whose contributions to the political development of Oyo State and Nigeria remain remarkable.
He praised her for making history as the first female Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, noting that her tenure was marked by purposeful leadership, integrity, and a strong commitment to democratic values.
According to Hon. AKT, Senator Sunmonu’s legacy of service continues to inspire women and young leaders across Oyo State and beyond, especially in the areas of governance, public service, and grassroots development.
