As Christians across Oyo State and beyond celebrate the joyous occasion of Easter Sunday, an aspirant for the Ona-Ara State Constituency seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Dr. Temitope Afolabi, has extended warm greetings to the people of Ona-Ara, particularly the Christian faithful, urging them to embrace the virtues of love, sacrifice, hope, and unity which the season symbolizes.
In his Easter message made available to newsmen on Sunday, Dr. Afolabi described the resurrection of Jesus Christ as a powerful reminder that after every trial comes victory, and after every dark moment comes light and restoration.
According to him, Easter is a season that inspires renewed faith in the future and strengthens the collective resolve of the people to work together for a better and more prosperous Ona-Ara.
He stated that the values of selflessness, compassion, and service demonstrated by Jesus Christ should serve as guiding principles for leaders and the people alike, especially at a time when the yearning for quality representation and grassroots development remains paramount.
Dr. Afolabi reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to offering purposeful, people-oriented representation for the good people of Ona-Ara State Constituency if given the opportunity to serve in the Oyo State House of Assembly.
He noted that his vision remains focused on inclusive development, youth empowerment, improved social welfare, and stronger community engagement across all wards in the constituency.
The aspirant also used the opportunity to call on residents of Ona-Ara and the wider Lagelu/Ona-Ara political family to continue to promote peace, unity, and harmony, stressing that collective progress can only be achieved through cooperation and shared vision.
“As we celebrate Easter, let us renew our hope for a brighter future and remain steadfast in our belief that better days lie ahead for Ona-Ara and Oyo State as a whole,” he said.
