The Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen has credited the wave of infrastructural development across the council area to the effective and people-oriented representation of the Honourable Member representing Lagelu State Constituency, Hon. Olajide Akintunde (AKT), at the Oyo State House of Assembly.
The Chairman made this known during his remarks at the official commissioning of the newly constructed Amotekun Office facilitated by Hon. Akintunde, describing the lawmaker as a committed and result-driven representative whose legislative influence has continued to attract meaningful development to Lagelu.
Highlighting key projects currently transforming the local government, Kamorudeen pointed to the ongoing construction of Kute Road, Akobo-Ojurin Road, and the Iyana-Church to General Gas corridor as clear testimonies of purposeful governance made possible through strong synergy between the executive and legislative arms.
According to him, these developmental strides are not coincidental but a direct product of Hon. Akintunde’s vibrant voice and strategic engagement at the floor of the Oyo State House of Assembly, where he has consistently prioritized the needs of his constituents.
“The progress we are witnessing today in Lagelu, particularly in road infrastructure, is a reflection of effective representation. Hon. Olajide Akintunde has demonstrated capacity, commitment, and an unwavering dedication to the growth of our people,” the Chairman stated.
He further emphasized that continuity in leadership remains vital to sustaining the current pace of development, noting that there is nothing inappropriate in giving a performing representative the opportunity to serve a third term.
“If an individual has proven his worth through impactful service delivery, there is every justification to support such a leader for continuity. Hon. Akintunde has earned the trust and confidence of the people,” he added.
Hon. Kamorudeen reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to continued collaboration with the lawmaker, assuring residents of more people-oriented projects that will further enhance socio-economic development across Lagelu Local Government.
The commissioning of the Amotekun Office stands as another milestone in strengthening security architecture within the council, further underscoring the dividends of responsive representation and purposeful governance.
