A political support group working for realisation of the political ambition of Engr Jubril Dotun Sanusi, Oyodotun Solidarity Group has expressed grief over the death of a federal lawmaker from Oyo State, Honourable Musiliu Olaide Adewale Akinremi.

Honourable Akinremi, who represented Ibadan North Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, died in the early hours of Wednesday in Abuja following a brief illness.

In a press statement released in Ibadan, Oyodotun Solidarity Group commisserated with the people of Oyo State led by Governor Seyi Makinde, the party of deceased politician, the All Progressives Congress (APC) the National Assembly and the entire family of the late legislator over the sudden death of Honourable Akinremi.

The group described the death of the lawmaker as a great loss not only to his family but also to Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.

Oyodotun Solidarity Group recalled with sadness that Honourable Akinremi, fondly called Jagaban by his friends and associates, was a grassroot politician who positively touched the lives of many peoples, especially those in his constituency, through his various beneficial programmes among which were assistance to the less privileged, youth empowerments, provisions of needed infrastructures and social amenities in his constituency.

According to the group which is canvassing for good governance and a new dawn in Oyo State, the two term federal legislator, who was until his death the Chairman House Committee on Science and Research Institutions at the Green Chamber will be remembered for his deep commitments to the welfare of his constituents and supports for local artisans, traders and other social groups in times of need.

The political support group also stated that the late lawmaker will be sorely missed by all for his philanthropy and contributions to the well-being of the people of Oyo State and Nigeria.

It prayed for the repose of the soul of deceased and fortitude for his family to bear the irreparable loss that his death connotes.
