Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has approved the declaration of Friday, April 26, 2024, as a half working day for all public and civil servants in the state.This is in connection with the local government election slated for Saturday, April 27, 2024. The Oyo State Executive Council, on Wednesday, approved the sum of N3.5 billion for the clearing of bushes around the 36.7km North-East segment of Rashidi Ladoja Ibadan Circular Road. The state Commissioner for Public Work and Transport, Daud Sangodoyin, announced this after the council’s meeting, held at the Governor’s Office in Ibadan, the state capital. A downpour on Wednesday night has wreaked havoc on the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Suleja, Niger State, resulting in extensive damage to the facility and facilitating the escape of 118 inmates.
