Six years ago, precisely March 9, 2019, on that fateful day of the gubernatorial election in Oyo State, the cruel hands of death snatched away a rare gem, Hon. Temitope Olatoye Sugar—a man of the people, a voice for the voiceless, and a beacon of hope for the downtrodden.
His assassination was not just the loss of a son, a husband, and a father; it was the silencing of a heart that beat for justice, compassion, and selfless service.
In the wake of his tragic departure, there were grand promises—words of comfort and pledges of unwavering support from friends, associates, and acquaintances who swore to stand by his family.
But today, like footprints in the sand washed away by the tide, those promises have disappeared into the winds of forgetfulness. Yet, through the trials and betrayals, one truth remains unshaken—God’s faithfulness has never wavered.
Though the world moves on, the legacy of Hon. Temitope Olatoye Sugar refuses to fade.
