In a significant move to bolster electricity access in the Awotunde Elewuro community, the Executive Chairman of Lagelu Local Government, Hon. Mudashiru Kamorudeen on Monday presented a cheque of 5 million Naira for the repair of the community’s electricity transformer. The support fund for the community also includes an overall assistance in the general installation of the electricity transformer, aimed at improving power supply for residents.
The cheque was formally presented to the community at the local government secretariat in Iyana-Offa. In his address, Hon. Kamorudeen underscored the significance of reliable electricity for community development, stating that community support for development is a major focus for his administration.
During the presentation ceremony, the Chairman emphasized the importance of reliable electricity for community development. “Access to consistent power is crucial for both economic growth and the well-being of our people. This support will ensure that the Awotunde Elewuro community enjoys improved electricity services,” he stated.
Community leaders expressed their gratitude for the timely intervention by the council chairman, noting that the support fund will significantly enhance electricity access for residents. With the support funds allocated, the local government aims to expedite plans for the general installation of the electricity transformer.
