The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has said that posterity will never forget the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde for his transformational agenda, especially in the area of monumental projects that dotted every nooks and crannies of the state.

Amb. Arapaja stated this while congratulating Governor Seyi Makinde and the people of Ogbomoso and Iseyin on the commissioning of the 76.7 km Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso road which was commissioned by the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu who was ably represented by the Vice-President, Senator Kashim Shettima today.
Speaking shortly after the commissioning, Amb. Arapaja stressed that the Governor’s gesture has brought another great sigh of relief to the people of Ogbomoso and Iseyin who are the direct beneficiaries of this monumental project.
Amb. Arapaja noted that Gov. Makinde’s commitment to infrastructural development be it in road construction, health, education, economic empowerment, and so on has brought dramatic transformation not only to the state but has also reflected in the standard of living of the citizenry.
Amb. Arapaja equally commended Gov. Makinde for renaming the commissioned Ogbomoso-Iseyin road after his late principal, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala, adding that the Governor has been giving due respect and recognition to his predecessors whether dead or alive.
He added that the Oyo state people are happy that they have a leader who understands what good governance is all about and is spreading development across all the senatorial zones without discrimination.
Amb. Arapaja who used the occasion to once again congratulate Gov. Makinde on his fifth year in office, enjoined the people in the state to continue to give the Governor maximum support as he continues in his mission to leave the state far better than he met it.
